How do I know which treat is high value to my dog?Updated 8 days ago
Offer your dog three to four treats at the same time and watch what they eat first - that is the highest value to that dog.
Taking more than one treat to a training session means you can start on the lowest value and work your way up higher as the class gets harder, or as your dog starts checking out.
You could also reward them with higher treat value for the more difficult tasks they are completing.
Some dogs may prefer their favourite squeaky toy, tug toy or ball as a reward for their work.
